Rio Vista Farm, located on the banks of the Colorado River, on the south side of Austin, opened to the public in 1995. The facility quickly became the premier Hunter/Jumper stable of Austin, offering top quality care and professional training for both horse and rider.

Located within 15 minutes from downtown Austin and the University of Texas , and about 25 minutes from Westlake Hills

Rio Vista offers what many other area barns cannot: space to ride, breathe, and relax.

Dotted with Pecan trees, fresh growing coastal hay, and a private lake, our  500+ acre facility offers plenty of room to roam. 52 total stalls, 10 individual live-in paddocks, 10 grassy turn-out paddocks , 2 large riding arenas and open pasture riding space make up Austin's "Horse Heaven".

Owners and Trainers Susan McMorris and Bill McMorris have helped many riders achieve their goals from improving their skills to winning multiple yearend high point awards in all divisions.

Rio Vista does more than just attend shows. We help build the local horse show community by hosting 6 shows a year at the stables. We compete in shows at the local circuit level (Central Texas Hunter/Jumper Association), and across Texas at the "A" show level. We have also competed in Louisiana , Mississippi and Colorado at Estes Park .
